Who’s behind this blog and www.skoojah.com?

Andrew ‘skooj’ Skuja that’s me. I am known and have been known and called ‘skooj’ by more people in my life than people who know my given name. Schooled as an illustrator and designer pre-computer days, my first full-time gig was at McClelland & Stewart, at the time one of Canada’s biggest and best publishing companies. Here, I was able to learn and grow. Not only as a designer, but as a creative thinker, a typographer and more importantly I became knowledgeable and developed a solid understanding for what it takes to be a smart visual communicator.

Today, I am a veteran creative thinker with 20 years of communication design experience. 10+ years have been building online experiences for some of the world’s most recognized brands. Expert in concept and strategy development for large interactive and new media marketing campaigns. I have proved myself as a leader, with the ability to motivate, mentor and inspire creative teams to deliver superb award winning work.
